Judy is a sustainability enthusiast and a west coast tech industry veteran with twenty years of corporate and nonprofit experience in communications, marketing and market research, member engagement, social media strategy and press/media relations. She leads SEEA’s communications team, which is responsible for the organization’s branding, messaging, online communications, work area marketing, member programs and events, as well as SEEA’s annual conference. In addition, she provides strategic oversight and direction for press outreach, and for the development, editing and marketing of SEEA’s research reports.
Prior to joining SEEA, Judy served as the director of marketing and public relations for Southface Energy Institute in Atlanta, where she was responsible for landmark projects including the launch of the Southface Eco Office and the Southeast Weatherization and Energy Efficiency Training (SWEET) Center.
She has held corporate communications, marketing, public relations and product management positions with a variety of technology firms including British Telecom Infonet, Rockwell, Air Touch, Ledgent and AST Computer.
Judy has an Honors B.A. in international business and marketing from Western University in London, Canada, and has a certificate in fundraising management from Boston University. She also holds certifications in diamond grading and gem identification from the Gemological Institute of America.
